Antiwork

My coworker and I are shocked I make more than him.

He has a lot more experience, knowledge, and skills than I do. We split work when we can, but some things he spends more time working on. Not to dismiss my own knowledge or skills. It just takes time to learn more in IT engineering. Today we were talking about job openings and salaries. I blurted out how much I make, and he was pissed off. Not at me, but the fact that I make much more than him. We both agreed that he is really underpaid, especially with how much he does, and he is going to bring it up to the director later. He's interested in another role, but it would take a big pay cut. He said “I'm not going to take any pay cut, in fact I'm going to get a pay bump!” DAMN RIGHT! I hope he gets an actual raise to more than what…

I hope he gets an actual raise to more than what I'm making. My paranoid side is checking laws in Illinois for recording, just in case I get told not to discuss wages. There is an exception if there is a reasonable suspicion if a crime is going to be committed against me.
