My Employer is making us disregard wildfire evacuations.

I work in an office that is located within a level 3 evacuation zone, the fire is making national news (Gray Fire Spokane), and has destroyed hundreds of structures and caused at least one fatality. I have also been evacuated from my home with my children since Friday, so I'm writing this from a shelter and not sure if it's even worth coming into work today. Today there was an email sent out to all us telling us to disregard the evacuations and that we are required to show up for work. I would be willing to provide proof and more info to a local news service, but I'm not sure how to contact them. This just seems insanely dangerous and like they don't care about the safety of their employees, I think people should know.
