And they’re going to do it again. They had a “shutdown” where there was a week where only the employees had to take PTO for the whole week. A few employees could work, but only a day or 2. (temporary workers could still work)
They’re planning on doing it again in June. I’m pretty sure they’re going to have another massive layoff. They even told us the point was to get everyone to use PTO. Lots of folks went into the negatives. But the company told them not to worry about it, that they weren’t going to charge them for it.
Of course, this was after they told us they were done with the layoffs. But, we’ve heard that before. They also have been hiring more temporary workers. I’m mostly scared because they had pretty good insurance, benefits, and a work schedule. Idk if I’ll be able to find a job with at least the desired work schedule. (3/4 days a week 12hr shifts)
