My Employer of 32 yrs did not pay 2+ years of retirement benefits; they don’t know why & have no records as they bought the company.

This is a major hospitality property in the US. I have a contract that says i should get it. No dispute there. But It’s coming up on 3 months of waiting for answers/resolution. They communicate with me, but told me what i wrote in the title above. With which U S government office do I have recourse? And what might happen? Edit: I have filed for my pension. Edit 2: 1. I’m in a union and am discussing a ‘defined benefit plan’ that any new owner is required to participate in if they agree to be a union house, which each owner has. 2. The payments missing are 2 years from 1st owner and a few months from 2nd. Property is now on its 3rd owner. 3. I have older copies of the plan and summaries, but will request the latest one. 4. I’ve long known about the missing years…

With which U S government office do I have recourse? And what might happen?
Edit: I have filed for my pension.
Edit 2:
4. I’ve long known about the missing years of payment but was informed/believed there was nothing I could do until I filed for pension. (I could die before becoming eligible to collect, so no one would address the problem as it wasn’t yet ‘a real problem. )
5. I have learned another union coworker is missing these same years. I’m hoping he joins me in recovery efforts.
6. I believe my next step is EBSA as I’ve already contacted the pension fund and they said to contact employer who has said he is unable to find any data in this matter. (In fact, he asked me to get my W2 -at my expense- from 30 + years ago to prove my employment. I informed him as my employer, all those records should be on my file as long as I’m an active employee. He did not debate te issue but remarked that his records only date back to 2014.
7. Iirc, there was some mischief with the pension fund by national union leaders and they were removed. As there are 2 of us with the same missing years (and I suspect there may be more) it’s possible this matter is a factor and needs government intervention.
8. I’m using a personal email.
