I have been working as a tutor through this company as a contractor for about three months and the way we check in or clock in is by taking attendance. I have noticed sometimes it glitches and goes to different dates and I didn’t really think too much about it because I felt like it didn’t record due to the glitch. However, I put in my two weeks a while ago because I got offered a position and was actually looking to come back BASED on my SET schedule my job would be giving me once I complete my licensing and etc. I informed her that I would get back in touch to let her know any updates. However, I have two clients and one of them I would go to their homes 3x out of the week and 2x of out of the week for my other client. Therefore that’s 10 sessions every two weeks — upon creating my invoice I put 10 sessions and sent it off. My manager then sent me an email asking that two hours were added and wanted to know why. I explained to her that it was a mistake and that the system does glitch but I didn’t think much of it at the time. MIND YOU I HAVE NOT BEEN PAID YET and there was a point in time where I was not paid for about a week, which I was informed that it was a mistake — I said okay understandable . When I informed her that it was a mistake she sent me an email saying that “ I had just committed FRAUD” ! How could I have committed fraud when I only included 10 sessions and I was not paid yet. So I just honestly let her have and told her to reflect on her choice of WORD and that it was defamation of character when clearly it was a mistake. I even included that I never accused this company of fraud when the payroll manager did not pay me based on a mistake HE MADE. I have always been on time during my sessions and they have truly loved me and seen a difference within their child which I truly loved more than even getting paid. So for her to accuse me of a crime that was not committed was absolutely out of reach and I just feel like she needs to be fucking reported.
