On top of underpaying us, they don’t provide health insurance for anyone but store managers.
My general manager came to work with the flu and got me sick, I have now missed 3 days of work and they had the audacity to tell me I need a dr note even though they don’t provide insurance and I can’t afford to spend $250 at the dr for a damn note.
I told my store manager that I will not be able to get a note and that I would rather work instead of getting a write up. I had a fever so they sent me home anyways and said I wouldn’t be getting a write up.
Next we get a message in the chat about proper procedure when someone is home sick, and it’s very clear that the GM didn’t follow this procedure, hence me getting infected with whatever she had. I’m furious at this because if she had followed proper procedures I would have never gotten sick. Then she has the audacity to demand I bring in a note. I’m so tired of this but the job situation where I’m at is abysmal so I’m stuck here unfortunately. They can’t keep getting away with this crap.
