My job gives me nothing to do then gets mad at me for doing nothing

They threaten to fire me if I don’t start doing more work I said well give me some things to do they say “pick up a broom” or “wipe things down” like sir I just did that for two hours straight. Either way they know I’m gonna be pretending to do useless shit cuz there’s literally nothing to do so why not just let me sit down
