My job hired too many people in my department, as a result we get our hours cut

I been with my current job for a little over a year now (started March 2022) and at first we hardly ran any production. I’m talking about running for a total of 3 hours out of the 56 I worked my first week. Fast forward to the beginning of this year, we’ve been more productive than ever. It sucks because I recently was able to move into my own apartment, just to have my hours cut from 54 to 36 on some weeks. And the shift would be rotating so no set off days. Idk what I’m expecting from this I guess I’m jus venting because this really sucks. I really liked this job and I may be forced to start searching the market again smh.
