This is my first serious job after graduating my bachelors. My job was going well, and i got paid well. I even got the room to switch hours, all very flexible. I got along with my coworkers.
I struggled with cancer before, but got surgery and radiation. My doc told me I wouldn’t have to worry for the next 10 years. During graduating, i applied for this jon and in my surprise, they hired me. Last year i got a big raise, and was doing well. I started with a temporary contract (untill june ‘24).
Well the cancer came back and i’m on chemo and not able to work untill may-june ‘24. They probably won’t offer me a new contract because the chance that the cancer keeps coming back is pretty big.
However i liked the job, work was easy and I didn’t have to work too many hours. I just don’t want to lose it, to be honest.
Is there anything i could do to encourage them to give me a chance?
