Like the title says, my job is literally killing me and there’s nothing I can do about it. I work almost 7 days a week, living onsite with a slight discount of what apartments are going for in my area (1800/month for 1 bedroom).
When I took this job in November I was given the job offer letter which did not state the commission offered. I asked and was answered by email what the commission was but told it was not listed on the offer letter.
I took the job and scraped up all my money for the move. Two months into work and I’m told the commission structure is now changing to less than half of what was originally offered. I’m now so far away from my family and my car broke down during the move.
I figured with the money I was supposed to be making, I could save a little and get a new car.
Now I am spending literally 80% of my income paying for the rent at my job without a car to go visit my family. Nor can I even entertaining the thought of getting a new job for the same reason of I can’t afford a new deposit or even a car to get to a new job.
I am literally stuck here and I cannot help but feel they did this on purpose. Knowing full well what was offered and turning down other job offers for this one.
I’m literally dying inside and have no way out of here. Sorry for the rant; just sitting at my desk quietly crying to myself because this is what America has become. One big fucking lie.
