I work for a 3rd tier company that makes car part for a major Big 3 automotive production company. Love the people, but the management seems to take advantage of us cause we don't have a union.
I work nights and they post working mandatory overtime the morning of right before we get off and then they threaten to write you up or get a suspension if you don't come in. One time we were made to work 6 or 7 days for a month.
People got wrote up, suspended, and as a end result fired for not coming some of those mandatory overtime days. We never knew of the extra work day until the day before or the exact same day. People had already made plans.
Managers threaten your job, and tell you if you don't like it find another.
Is this legal?
