So i have had seasonal viral since last week and haven’t take a sick day yet because of constant nagging and pressure. Today i logged in a bit late after informing about it. And my manager put me in a call and told me I should take 5-6 paracetamols/dolo A DAY “to fix” my fever and finish my tasks faster.
Along the lines he also added contradictory statements like “you only have 2 weeks to finish this, let me know if you can’t then we will take action” idk what he might by action there as he’s the person who can say the most vile shit in a “polite-sounding” tone. To this same sentence. this same person also added “if you are not feeling well you can take leaves” like he did not ask me to work on my tasks just a second before.
I was quite speechless today. at first i didn’t think a 40 something man who fancies himself to be a know-it-all would say something harmful so i was like maybe IT IS ok to take that many meds? I still did not get a good vibe from it. so i asked my friend and she said to definitely not do that. I’m confused why would he say such a thing???
