My manager wanted me to sort out my complaint with my coworker

This might be really small, but this drove me absolutely crazy and felt so wrong. I recently started working at a pub as a server while just finishing up my undergrad. It’s a big pub in my city, been around for 25 years. The owners are lovely. However, they’re NEVER there. The managers are horrible and cutthroat and do not hold the values that the owners preach. For example, one manager will overstaff and take all the tables in our sections, leaving us with nothing to do and yells at us for standing around (ma’am I cannot clean the bathrooms 5x a shift). Another manager constantly talks down to you. Makes you feel like an idiot and has small micro aggressive comments. None of which I’m going to get into because I need this job and am afraid they’ll see this lol. They also do not tip out kitchen staff…

None of which I’m going to get into because I need this job and am afraid they’ll see this lol. They also do not tip out kitchen staff in the first month, we have to pay a dine and dash fee every shift in case it happens(even though if someone does dine and dash or the server makes a mistake, it comes out of your tips anyway). Oh we also pay full price on our meals, are required to be on the floor 15 minutes before our shift and are not allowed to be clocked in while cashing out.

Anyway, my during my shift last week the new bartender came in seemingly drunk. Just sloppy and dropping things everywhere. The bar was FULL. She was over sharing and yelling. I heard “I’m an alcoholic” coming out of her mouth 5x. For some context, one of the situations was one of the customers asked where the nearest liquor store is and her response was “I have no idea and I’m an alcoholic”. I got so much second hand embarrassment as it clearly made customers uncomfortable and can be triggering for some of them. I was honestly genuinely concerned about her well being as she is a nice enough girl usually and a human being.

I went into the office where one of the managers was and explained to her the situation there professionally. Her response was “ok go get her and come back so you guys can sort this out”. PARDON. Absolutely not my problem. I told her that this was not appropriate and I want to remain anonymous. She was reluctant but eventually agreed. Later the girl was called to the office. She spent the entire day ignoring me so the manager definitely told her that the complaint came from me.

This whole situation gave me such an ick.

Edit: spelling mistake
