I’ve been at this company for one month. My new boss..
her “director of —-“ title means nothing because, as it turns out, she’s the CEOs wife. And she has zero experience in… anything relevant to her job title. Literally married the guy and one year later, edged her way into his company. Even through Zoom meetings, I can see the reflection of dollar signs in her red demon eyes.
I’m sr manager level with 15+ yrs experience in my field l and am being treated like a child. I’ve never in my life experienced this kind of behavior from a boss. I’m also not the only one who feels her wrath. There are others… although she truly must hate me. (Hey bitch, it’s mutual)
Here are some gems I’ve received from her since I started:
-no personal appointments during work hours. These include doctor appointments.
-im not to meet with anybody else in the company
Without her prior approval with a summary of why I need to meet with them.
-I need to ask her for anything before I ask anyone else… so I’m not allowed to talk to people I work with?
-I’m not allowed to leave my desk during work hours (ummm I fucking work from home btw)
-I received no job description when I accepted the job. She refuses to provide me with one, yet continues to critique my job performance as not aligned with my “non-existent” job description
-I was hired to manage an employee but obviously she’s doing that so I’m just a manager on paper…(oh wait, there is no paper)
-she tells me to do something and I do it. Then she forgets what she asked for. So it’s always wrong. There’s no win.
When I began interviewing, my role wasn’t listed as a defined job . I came from a company who was similar in terms of product so they created the role for me. It seemed like a great opportunity. Now I realize that i was tricked into a deal with the devil and jokes on me.
There’s a special place in hell for you bitch.
I’ll quit the minute I can get any sort of job offer…. or you’ll fire me which would honestly (I can’t believe I’m saying this) be doing me a fucking favor. Only time will tell.
