My last job was a straight 9-5, which sucks, but at least you know where you stand.
I've just started a new job which is 9-5.30, which I didn't really want but it is what it is. I've just done the maths though, and that extra 0.5 hrs a day is 2.5 hours a week, which is 10 hours a month, which is 120 hours a year.
That means I'm doing 3 weeks extra a year than I was at my last place! My pay has gone up £1k a year, or £333 a week – £7.83 an hour! – for the extra.
Does anyone else see this as daylight robbery?
