After two years in my current position, I am finally putting in my two-week notice! I work in a highly-dynamic, high-pressure position that requires me to work insane hours and with many cultures.
The manager that hired me in was laid-off last year and my current manager doesn’t understand all the hoops I go through to get my job done. So, she doesn’t appreciate all that I do. She gaslights me when it is time for performance reviews and berates me for petty feedback from people that don’t want to support the markets I work. Nobody wants my job, I get it. But, I am good at it and I have thick skin.
Recently, I had planned three days of on-site events in a four-day “Roadshow” with the groups I work with. The person that planned the one day got ALL credit from my management knowing that I planned the three/four days. My manager even tried messing with the agenda that I had planned three weeks in advance on the days of the meetings! She had access to the agenda! She even questioned meetings she set up and didn’t remember in front of the visiting group! On top of that, I was explicitly told I was not invited to the team dinners by my management and had to pretend it was my decision not to attend when the visitors asked if I was attending.
I have made them tens of millions of dollars and I cannot even get an invitation for the team dinners.
