here to rant, first time poster long time lurker. my wonderful partner L works in education at a local university where they are an advisor for students with disabilities. their boss is notorious for making his employees cry, shouting and snapping at them in front of each other so often I wonder how he keeps his job. anyway, this guy didn't submit my partner's time sheet on time and told them they won't get paid again until the END of September for the work they did this month.
L is a part time employee, and their boss has been telling them that they will make them full time but that was weeks ago. L has even turned down full time positions and job interviews elsewhere in anticipation of the full time position. we both live paycheck to paycheck and don't have a lot of savings.
if anyone knows if there's anything we can do please let me know. but keep in mind that we live in a no-cause/no-fault state, so if my partner's boss feels that they are advocating for themselves too much, he can fire L without giving reason or cause. I don't think he's above doing that. thank you
