I was with my previous company for about 6 years. We grew the business from a start up to be a respectable business. The last 3.5 years, I didn’t get a raise despite asking several times. Given that I was being declined, I got tf out of there. Got a better paying job that has sales bonuses, company covered benefits, pension, 4 day work week.
Fast forward a few months… previous work had their management team all find work elsewhere & they were stuck. They reached out to me to offer me a 25 cent raise(!!), no benefits, no pension, potentially back to 7 day work weeks.
I declined the position, they responded with how much would it take for me to come back, and I ghosted them. Fuck. That. Shit.
You want me back? Offer me more than what I currently have. Why would I leave my current job to put myself & my family in a worse position?
