My professionalism was questioned because I took annual leave and sick leave in succession

I returned from work after 3 weeks being off and was asked to join a meeting by my “career” manager at work. I had annual leave from Thursday to the Friday of the week after(so Thursday and Friday off for first week, and Monday to Friday off the next week). I took sick leave from Monday to Wednesday the week I was due back. I had annual leave booked for the Thursday and Friday so used that as my sick leave and took this Monday off for sick leave and came back to work today I know it's quite a long break but I was ill for the entirety of my annual leave. I know it's quite a long break but I was ill for the entirety of my annual leave. The meeting starteed with asking me what happened because I had emailed that I was ill on my first day of sick leave. I was asked what made me think to take sick leave and then I said I lost my voice and can't get out of bed. My “career manager” then asked why I didn't report sick leave for Thursday and Friday last week but I reminded him that was annual leave. So he understood that I was ill for my entire annual leave

He asked what I did and I said I went London for a concert even though I was ill. This led to a misunderstanding that I was abusing the paid sick leave and that I had went London on the weekend. I corrected him and told him I went to London prior to having 5 days of annual leave (Monday to Friday in second week). Once I corrected him things were okay, we were both on the same page and he said that was fine.

I'm just frustrated that I was given the third degree over taking 3 weeks off. I don't abuse my sick pay, only took a total of 8 days for the entire year. I really don't think this was worth a meeting to question my motivations for the job
