I want to preface this by saying that I am not anti work. My job is literally centered around making employee lives better. I find managers who garbage and delete them. I find toxic cultures and fix them. Its a good job because in the end it helps the little guy and gal.
Today. I got fucked over by corporate America to the point that I may start applying to others jobs. In fact, I have never felt this much vitriol towards a company before today.
I had a processs that would fill a huge gap in my company. People have been leaving in troves because they don't know what's required to rank up. I created a process for it, and then some. It was flawless. Perfect. Low cost. It was better than industry standard and would serve us 15 years from now. It was to be rolled out in August, but got out on hold because there was a reorganization. Then, I was told to wait until my boss came back from maternity leave in Quarter 1.
I had the time line written out. 6 weeks. All it took to save the company millions. Maybe 150 hours split between 4 people. It was easy. But, the initiative just got consumed by a transformation initiative and now some nobody will come up with a nothing plan that will take hundreds of hours while the company hedges people like none other. I have never been so pissed and saddened.
Maybe, my boss company back will fix things. But I still got fucked over in the process. Its made me real sour.
