I worked with an RPO company and was promoted onto a new account. I let them know a year in advance regarding my wedding and being off for 9 days. Both of my managers have checked in with me daily about wedding and know that’s it’s upcoming. I have NOT taken any vacation because of the wedding. When I asked today if I could extend my PTO an extra day to make it a 10 days I was told that it’s a not a good look for the account. The wedding is in October. I am so irritated because again, I have not taken PTO, I have covered for other employees and they promoted me onto this new account (they didn’t even ask me if I wanted the role. They just gave it to me).
But the director has taken off days left and right. Make it make sense…
