My SO is working at a very crappy company, the manager is a jerk and basically everybody is leaving after two months into work at most.
This is relevant because his work is fixing the code that those people left behind, which is a complete mess.
Also the management is horrible because the manager knows 0 about coding and about leading a group and basically my SO's work is useless because when he finishes fixings some code and he tries to upload it on github it is conflict everywhere because he failed to lead people's work (basically the jungle, with 0 communication between people and 0 real management).
Because of this he argues that my SO is not making any work because he is unable to submit it. My SO, of course, reported this to the manager but he blames him for it instead of seeing his poor management work.
Today he told my SO to submit 3 contributions by the end of the week or he's fired.
Now my SO has 0 problem with leaving this hell hole but we have a problem: he needs the seniority in the company to request a mortgage for buying a flat.
So, what options do we have in both aspects: in doing something with the crappy manager or how to request the mortgage without this seniority?
