My strategy for job applications

I've been looking for jobs the past month or so, but I've decided that I'm doing it on my terms. I'm not jumping through ridiculous hoops. I sign on to LinkedIn and Indeed each day. I filter for remote-only jobs with easy apply. I then spam apply to every single job that is even slightly related to a field I can work in. Rinse, repeat every day. So far this strategy has worked great. I consider it the same thing that recruiters are doing to cast a wide net, only in reverse. I've had a bunch of outreach, several interviews, and many jobs where I've just turned down moving forward because they looked shitty.

If you are able to, take the power out of the employers' hands. Don't jump through ridiculous hoops on applications. Don't give them more of your free time. Do the bare minimum to get your foot in the door, then decide whether or not it's worth your time.
