If you are in the Ole USA, you are reading about daily layoffs. Which makes no sense because if mega company record breaking profits.
I opened LinkedIn today and have a ton of job alerts for roles. Ok but why layoffs. I digress.
In the list of relevant job openings, they have salaries. It seems like director and vp roles today are advertising what I made 5 years ago as a senior analyst.
The high paying roles don't exist right now in cyber security, my industry.
I'm convinced all this bullshit are the late stage capitalist assholes trying to roll back salary gains of the last 5 years.
I can't imagine how desperate someone would be to take a vp role at this low rate. Either you end up with someone desperate or someone looking for the title who is going to bounce as soon as they can.
This makes me so mad. More wage suppression.
