So, I hired this virtual assistant from the Philippines through this company and paid $2000 per month. She actually does a good job and I believe I'm getting my money's worth. Here's the thing though, she's going to be promoted and her replacement is going to be trained for a couple of weeks. I have some trust issues and I want her to stay as my VA, so I asked her if she's willing to stay if I just add like a monthly bonus, she declined so I pressed more as to why and how much does she get after getting promoted, and then she told me the truth, she only receives $500 from the $2000 I'm paying. This is insane! Like how and why? Is this normal in the Philippines? Like not even half? A few days later, after reading the contract for her promotion, she declined to sign it. She found out that they'll only pay her $400 for the team leader position. WTF is happening there in the Philippines?
