I have worked in a construction company for about 6 years, small business, mainly doing drywall commercial and residential, about 7 months ago my boss asked if I would like to learn to do sales said he would make it worth my while with a 15% commission plus my hourly, at first everything went great I won a couple jobs from 5k- to 10k with my commission being 15% of that paid as soon as our contract was signed and awarded to the company,
Well I recently hit the mother load and was competing with 2 other companies for a 1.6 million dollar job as soon as my boss found out he was very exited but as I was getting closer and closer to seal the deal he started to act like a complete @@$hole a total d!ck towards me , reprimanded me about being late 5 minutes to work, I even started getting complaints from HR saying I treated employees unfairly because I wasn't giving them the information to contact the developer that I was about to close the contract even though they never bothered to ever ask me for any information before since I started sales plus who just gives Information away about their best contact ? , About 2 weeks ago he called me pissed off saying if I showed up late one more time “I should forget about the position” I got so mad that I told him off and said I don't Care about the position and quit on the spot, I heard from the developer that the next morning he was flooded with calls from my ex boss trying to close the deal, the developer told me he did not award it to him but if I was going to another company to just send him my info and he will continue to send me opportunities, this was all sent on my old business email so aboviously my boss found out and called me threating me to sue me ? Our contract was oral and never really signed anything. Is there even a case ? Plus it was abovious he wanted to fire me so he could hoard all the money.
