Need advice please. Burn the ridge or let them fire me.

So I’m currently in school full time for radiology technologist. I already have a part time job been there 17 years full time and part time. Great place, great benefits need them since I’m type 1 diabetic. But can not pick up more hours do to the fact my department does not run 24/7. I also have another job where I work per diem which mean you give them the days you are available and if there are shifts open you can get them and it’s a hospital so runs 24/7 but since they have finally filled all the full time shifts was getting like 6-7 days a month now down to 1. Been there 11 years. I don’t want to quit either place because they are both union and seniority means everything when to comes to apply for jobs and vacation time and other things. Ok since the background…

Ok since the background is done. Once the hours dried up at my other per diem job I started to luck for another hospital job doing what I currently do which is a Materials management technician basically stock the medical supplies on the unit. I applied at a few places last year and this one paid the most since my state require that employers list the salary on the job postings. I applied and job a interview by the director was given training over the holiday break and off we go. Working the weekends are easy and maybe have 4 hours of work during the whole 8 hour shift. Staff have been in the department the least amount of years is 21.

Then in January the supervisor come back from some sort of leave and everything changes. No more music in the department, micromanager from hell, she does the schedule and makes you write down the time yon complete each task on the white board. I’m still on probation until late May, so I have no union protection.

Last Friday i work she expected me to do the job of 2 people pick the supply orders and delivery orders. Plus nobody in the department has been trained or certified on how to operate a class three electric lift truck. I did not bring this up but I called the state OSHA department to file a complaint.
At the end of the day she asked me why everything wasn’t done yet I explain to her that I was doing the work of two people since somebody was on vacation. Then she said any of the other staff members would have completed all of these tasks with no problems. She then told me maybe you overstated your experience in your interview and you need to come in for additional training. I straight up said nope I can’t come in because of school and you have been out here every 20 minutes checking the times on the board seeing that I need help why are you telling me that I need to communicate to you that I should ask for help you’re the manager you see everything that’s going on and when people bring up ideas to you you just turned them down or don’t even listen to them. At this point I’m pissed but still remaining professional and said that I would finish up the rest of the stuff on Saturday when I come in plus do my regular work as well with no overtime involved I will promise you that. At this point she is just going on and on about saying that she’s not a micromanager that I’m not communicating for help and then tell her yes I am a bigger person which is true I am obese but I have lost 44 pounds over the past three months and still losing and also type one diabetic I had a low blood sugar earlier in the day which slowed me down so now I am requesting an American with disabilities act accommodation since I never knew that your job had time metrics to get task done.

She doesn’t say anything she just goes and sits back down at her desk and I just clock out and go home late. I was so mad after work I actually just sat in the parking lot for 45 minutes thinking about her and the way she treats people none of the regular staff are willing to report her because they are minorities they said and they were afraid something will happen to them so am I. So I sent her a text message stating the fact that maybe this isn’t the right place for me I will just give you my letter of resignation this weekend and finish out the rest of the schedule not to burn a bridge. She responds back pretty quickly and says please don’t turn in your letter of resignation we will talk about it this week when you work on Friday next. I really don’t want to talk about it and I have found out through my other per diem job that I can go to other departments and pick up hours which I did not know. Do I burn the bridge not just show up on Friday or do I go on Friday and see what she wants to talk about and go from there ?

I have emailed my medical doctor and he’s written me a note stating the fact that I have a medical condition that falls under the American with disabilities act and reasonable accommodations should be in place to allow him extended time to complete tasks and also treat his low blood sugar as needed and I have already turned it into the HR department so she can’t fire me now because it’s a discrimination thing in my state and I hear that you can get lawsuits for these sort of things. I will have to look into this more and see how this works. Overall the job is pretty easy and with the weekend shift premium and almost pays $10 an hour more than my other job and once I pass my probation I was just gonna put not available on Fridays so I’ll never have to see her but I’m not gonna let her treat people or me the way she currently treats the staff now because after I passed my probation I will become a shop Steward for the union and could already have 3 grievances filed but I can’t do that until I passed my probation in May. So do I show up on Friday and burn the bridge or going on Friday and see what she wants to talk about ?
