TL;DR: Some one has moved furniture in my classroom and stolen belongings from me and other teachers two days in a row. I need to record video of my room tonight and not sure what platform will let me record with an unattended computer from 2:30PM-7:00AM the next day.
I am a high school teacher with a mobility disability.
On Friday when I left my classroom it was staged as normal. When I returned yesterday the majority of the furniture in my room had been moved and was not returned to the original location. It is a big deal because it takes a lot of effort for me to move all the furniture back where it belongs. Especially when my students are about to walk in the door 15 minutes later!
I reported this to admin and they said a few others had furniture moved so they assumed it was a contractor cleaning the floors. Okay, NBD, this stuff happens.
However today my furniture was moved AND all my personal items were moved, plus about 20+ bags of chips from my student snack cupboard went missing. Some small hygiene items like my Lysol wipes and surgical masks are also gone. There is a fine gritty white dust over my entire room and there is white paint and shoe prints on top of my desks, tables and chairs.
When I reported to my school leader I learned that they also stole the snacks for our football team from another teachers classroom. Due to the way we secure our classrooms and who was in the building after school yesterday we have ruled out students. Also my students would NEVER move my furniture–they are the ones who end up having to help move some of it back because of my disability.
We are covering my room with large chart paper telling the contractor not to touch anything and my school leader also wants me to record the classroom on a classroom computer.
Which leads to my request. Is there a platform people recommend to record my classroom from 2:30PM-7:00AM with an unattended computer.
