It’s a holiday weekend and I’m still so upset by a phone call yesterday that here I am venting on Reddit. I work for a giant corporation. I have a new big client that pays us 3 million a year to do various stuff for them. I’ll spare boring details. My team is extremely small and we need double the manpower to complete all the work and I have been saying this since we won this new business 5 months ago. Three of us have been busting our butts and working 12 hour days (no overtime when you are salary) to make sure everything gets done. Yesterday I was told that I have performance issues which may lead to a performance improvement plan. Never in my life has something like this happened. I am a rockstar at my job when the workload is reasonable or even overloaded but this is crazy overloaded. I am just very angry. I take pride in my work and obviously have been working to the bone for months and this is the thanks I get. I am obviously looking for a new job ASAP.
