What salary would you ask for given my creds?
I currently work as a senior graphic designer. I'm 2 promotions and raise behind given company freezes.
- Bachelors degree
- 11 years experience (7 in current role, 4 as creative director at previous job)
- Main job is to output presentation and, infographic work.
- I also implemented motion graphics capabilities, trained the team, and have brought in additional revenue as a result.
- I work at a large company with over 100M revenue annually – and VERY large clients
- Before recent layoffs (losing 95% of our team) I managed 3 people.
- I am one of 3 designers left after they slashed our team of 25.
- I am the only designer with disciplines in a variety of areas. They're currently trying to figure out if I should transition to Marketing, Video production, or continue spearheading our design department.
- Exceptional reviews with recs for promotion every year.
10.Recent layoffs were ill planned and we lost our CCO out of protest of the rash decision making. The 3 of us left are battling severe staffing issues to prevent issues with our clients/contracts. - Located in Los Angeles
So, it's two fold – I'm personally getting the short end of the stick and that's now exacerbated by poor structural changes that have left them desperate for my help. I have leverage here and I want to get the promos and raise I deserve – what is a reasonable salary/apprach?

I currently make $93k. My deserved title (director) varies between $120-$175k and the others that were not laid off are directors and make around $140k but do not have the diversity in skillset that I do and usually stick to presentation and infographic design.
