Nepotism or honor?

My father offered me a position at a firm where he is a highly established leader of a department for 2.5x my pay. I currently work at a different company that took me in to do similiar work but for much less pay. Offering me an opportunity to learn a lot of stuff without me needing to have an engineer diploma. While my father's company requires that knowledge that I have now learned now. I currently work with my father's old coworker who ran away from the company my father works at (brother of the owner, disputes over company ownership and shares). I like my dad. No industrial secrets are being tranfered, just mere experience.

I just have a moral dilema. But I guess the company would spit me out right the way if it meant for them to increase their profits. I am a honest person but in this economical climate you gotta play your cards and not count on honesty.

I barely get by with pay I have now. It would be a true life changer to get 2.5x the pay. I could actually save up for my own place and not be a renter for life.

Question is… should I go for it and “betray” my current company for what opportunities and experience (albeit for abismal pay) they offered me to learn to go and work for my dad for 2.5x of my pay?
