New job Policies

Started a new job a couple weeks back and during the whole onboarding and orientation process there was no mention that you could not smoke on the property. Also I have read through the employee hand book and double checked all the policies for my current job and there is nothing stating you are not allowed to smoke. Well today I was told by a co-worker that smoking is not allowed and they have only 1 place you can smoke. Now no where on this property is a no smoking sign posted and like I have stated no one from management have told me this and it is not in the employee handbooks no where. I was just wandering, If I was to be terminated for smoking could I or could I not take any type of action against that judgement? Not looking to cause trouble at my job because…

Not looking to cause trouble at my job because I like it and I like the people that are there. Just curious in to what actions, if any, could some one take if there were terminated for breaking a “rule” that has not been explained or stated in any handbook?
