New job turned me down, so I’m still stuck at my crap job

Hey everyone, here is the latest update on my work situation. I've been posting on here over the last few weeks about my shitty situation at work, how I demoted myself, and more. I got an interview at this amazing place a couple of weeks ago and had multiple interviews, everyone that I spoke to, loved me and seemed enthusiastic to have me join. Then I went to the final interview and it all fell apart. From the moment the Zoom meeting started, this woman started coughing, hacking and sneezing. She seemed extremely rushed and didn't seem to even want to do the interview. Her questions were extremely short, so I gave my answer and elaborated more. However, her next question was already answered in my elaborated answer so I just kind of repeated what I had just said. This happened about 4 times over the course of the interview.…

This happened about 4 times over the course of the interview. This all threw me off because her attitude and me repeating myself made me start thinking it was going badly. The final part of the interview was redoing a mock presentation I had done during the 3rd interview, which I didn't understand why I had to redo it but I did it anyway.

As I was presenting it, she kept interrupting me but provided no real feedback and just seemed kind of a dick about it. She cut the interview short, it finished in like 18 minutes when it was scheduled for 30, and logged off without even saying bye.

I knew in my gut that it went badly, but I hoped that since everyone else before her had a great impression of me, I might still get it. Sadly, I didn't. I got a rejection email a couple of days later, first thing in the morning as I was heading out to work and I replied what had happened and if they could elaborate…..they have not replied. So for now I will keep looking.

Things have gotten slightly better at my job as I no longer work for my asshole supervisor and the position is chill the majority of the day, except when I have to talk to extremely difficult customers. Things kept going down for my old department since I left. They are more or less stabilized now but are operating at a new low.

The floor manager has pretty much accepted that without me she won't be getting any of the reports I used to send out and things will fall behind schedule without a supervisor but still refuses to put me back in my old department or give me a raise or even admit they were in the wrong….they never will.

The icing on the cake is that my old position is now available on Indeed, for a higher pay than what I am getting paid at…so fuck them.

I wanted to give people an update since a lot of the comments wanted to know. what came of it.

Thanks to everyone who did wish me the best!
