Started a new job approximately 4 weeks ago. I haven't really been trained at all. Told to sit at my desk and read for the first week..then I shadowed a few ppl for about an hour then back to the desk. Here I am 4 weeks later still sitting at the same desk..rereading things because I'm bored. No guidance, no structure, no leadership. I've already gotten told off once by a person in upper management to “take initiative and figure it out myself” so now I'm hesitant to ask questions.
Am I totally screwed? Should I look for a new job or stick it out?
