- It turned out it was Jackie’s day off. The cook who showed up late was Barbara (another cook without disability)
- Manager says “Jackie still needs to get fired because her performance was not good anyway. Barbara is fine because otherwise she has been perfect. I am not going to discipline Barbara.”
- Jackie can’t work for other five star restaurants because the manager badmouths her to the prospective employers. Jackie ends up working as a cook at a much less prestigious restaurant with a lower salary and benefits. She is now struggling to get the bills paid, especially for daycare.
- EEOC and NY Human Right Law investigation made no progress last one year.
