Nightmare company ridiculous performance expectations.

TLDR; Credit card company I worked for was ridiculous with review expectations and was very scummy to new employees. First this happened years ago and I haven't worked for this company for years. I saw a post in another thread that brought up all the memories and figured I would share here while it's semi fresh. I started working for a call center for a major credit card company years ago and was supposed to be in there collections department. I was originally hired for 30 days collections which is customers behind 30-60 days. Simple enough.

The training class was I believe 6 weeks but I won't made it 2 weeks in before they pulled me and 3-4 others out and said we would be going to a different department.

I was then put into a voicemail department for a couple weeks. This was just cold calling customers and if they answered transferring them to collectors or leaving a voicemail if no one answers.

After this back into training for the pre delinquency which is customers who were high risk but not actually past due on a payment. Went through trains and started the actual job.

Come performance reviews they would do a review every 2 weeks and in order to get a bonus you would have to be at the excells ranking.

The performance scores or whatever we're this.

Did not meet expectations you were 0-100% of collections goal

Met expectations 100-150%

Exceeded expectations 150-200%

Excelled 200%+

Meaning if you didn't double the goal no bonus. Also the goal was based off of your previous review so it constantly rose. To add to it though if you were below 100% your goal for the next review did not reflect this. It could only go up and only down by a small amount making goals a weird dance or balancing act you had to constantly manage. Also if you were at met expectations or lower two weeks in a row you would get written up.

This place was insane. There was even more when it comes to the environment and the weird cult like attitude every tenured employee or manager had.
