I didn’t get the bonus my department got due to “performance” for last quarter. I don’t count on bonuses, but the fact that others got it and I didn’t really hurt. We have new software that logs our meetings with clients and logs emails – Gainsight. I was judged that I wasn’t empathetic enough in my communications and that I need to improve my services knowledge. Fair enough. But, they looked at maybe 3 emails and 1 call? I know about the call because I got an email saying my boss watched it. No other calls.
I am polishing my resume, but I have only been there for 1.5 years. I’m worried I’ll look too much like a job hopper.
Obviously, I will do better – just know that before that I received my bonuses and the feedback was completely positive and different. What changed? The software implementation.
Best next steps? My ego has taken a huge hit and I am so angry. I thought I was doing my job well.
