Boss complained to me today that no one goes above and beyond anymore. Had to bite my tongue to keep from asking her why would anyone go above and beyond when they don’t see that example from their supervisors.
Supervisors avoid confrontation, everyone is their friend so no one gets harsh feedback. No one is having the difficult performance conversations yet she thinks reps should want to do more for her.
I should note too, there’s no incentive to do more. No promotions or extra pay so if you do more, you’re just stressing yourself out and making more always expected of you.
