Rant about my office mate who thinks it’s his responsibility to ensure I’m following the company time card policy.
I usually get to work a few hours earlier than my office mate and therefore leave earlier. Well a few times last week I got in later but still left at my usual time since I had worked extra hours the previous week and our company allows us to save hours across two week blocks. On one of these days, my office mate asks me why I’m come in late and leaving early. He asks if I have work I can do from home that he doesn’t know about. He basically said he thinks I’m lying on my time card about the hours I work.
First, it’s none of his business how I get my hours in since he is not my manager. Second, he spends half his day watching YouTube videos and talking to his friends on the phone. So there is no way he is truly working 40 hours week.
