I just had a baby, I applied for short term disability and was approved, the case worker with the third party used to approve / deny the short term disability was beyond unhelpful.
This person asked me the same goddamn questions in an email chain that spanned over a month. I told her when I gave birth (while in the hospital) and she replied to my email two days later “did you deliver yet?”
So then, comes time to receive 60 percent of my paycheck today, I receive nothing. I literally received a zero paycheck stub.
Someone dragged their fucking feet and because of this, I will not receive a paycheck this pay period. And no one could give an absolute shit about what I am going through financially and emotionally.
I have had a horrible postpartum experience, (preeclampsia) and cannot get my blood pressure under control. I am not sleeping well, and now I have to figure out how to survive the next two weeks.
I want to see my therapist, I need some mental help during this postpartum stuff, but I can't pay my co-payment. I want to buy nutritious food, but I can't because I don't qualify for assistance but yet I'm not getting paid.
Ive explained this to my supervisor who had to place a HR request (I work remotely) and everyone gets to go home for the weekend and enjoy their life.
I am so goddamn angry with this stupid company. They blame the insurance company and the insurance company is blaming my job.
I did everything I was supposed to do, and they fucking failed to do their part and no one gives a shit.
