Not Paid my Approved wage, I don’t do the approved work.

Gen manager is an absolute asshole. I work in a Travel Plaza as night shift custodian and not by choice. I was forced into changing shifts despite availability showing I couldn't work graveyards. As a condition of this forced shift change, I was approved for shift differential + a small raise of $0.22. So 1.22 total. It was approved, An email sent to HR. Fast forward 3 months to last week. I'd finally gained access to my check stubs through out system, UKG, and it was $120 short on every paycheck. I did the math. I was still at my original plus the .22… so I informed my store manager and she got with the Gen manager. He responded, your wage is your wage your not getting shift differential. I calmly reminded him there is a paper trail showing approval. He snapped it won't be done. So, Shrugging, I said…

He responded, your wage is your wage your not getting shift differential. I calmly reminded him there is a paper trail showing approval. He snapped it won't be done. So, Shrugging, I said the following.

“If I don't get paid the approved upon wage, I wont be doing the approved upon work. You approved it in writing you have one week to enforce the agreement.”

I am headed in to work tonight with full intention of doing bare minimum.
