My company is a very big financial services company, privately owned. I left my previous employer for this job a little over a year ago because they were calling everyone in three days per week. I was hired as a “home-based” associate at the new job. Remote in other words. It was just announced that all employees would be expected in the office 3 days per week starting in January. Even those of us hired as remote workers. It's absolutely insulting. I was really hoping that the fact that we don't have stockholders to please would maybe allow us a little more freedom in our thinking. I was wrong. And off I go looking for a new remote job.
