I'm at a complete loss here… I recently interviewed at Microsoft as an Infrastructure Engineer, and was given an offer the same day. I was super excited and signed on and received a start date.
I put in my two weeks at my current job and was set to start on Monday. I received my laptop and other hardware from the contracting company, and waited for the start date.
Start date came and I received a call stating that the offer was “pulled”, and the contract house had never seen such a thing happen….
I'm now jobless and left wondering what went wrong, and how I will pay my bills moving forward. Has this happened to anyone else??
I would totally be fine if they just gave me a reason that I can work with or improve on, but instead, I'm left in the dark and back to looking for work. Savings are already low and I'm beyond disappointed and fearful of my future. I apologize for the long story, I just feel a sense of doom like never before. Is this normal in any way??
