Ok, I work for a privately owned company that is smallish but not tiny. I received word today that per our owner, we are no longer allowed to close our office doors. No reason was given, just that violating this would result in loss of your door. (Removed from hinges) …. We have employees with sensory issues that need quiet. My office is adjacent to the toilets and often the smells waft in. I close my door to avoid the inevitable reek of poo and air freshener. For reference I am in Washington state.
Is this legal? Advice, anyone? I already informed my direct boss that I will request to work from home if my door is removed.
