I work in a restaurant and never take breaks, I could work 2 hours – 9 hours without a single break. Yesterday my boss tried to make me take a one hour (obviously unpaid) break so that I could stay one hour later past my 8 hours. I hate work. I had plans after my 8 hour shift with my family who’s visiting from out of town whom I haven’t seen in over a year and when I said that, the response I got was “you should always plan to work an 8 hour shift and shouldn’t schedule anything before that”. Funny. Because that would be 9 hours. Love it
