I am so surprised to see how common this practice is right now. I remember running into it before, but it wasn't that common. Not to mention that it was usually just a question or two (still a dumb thing, but ok) and I would usually skip those job posts as I personally find it to be a stupid practice. But now.. There are jobs posts that literally have all the questions usually asked in the first interview and you are supposed to just what? Talk to yourself? I get that lots of people apply, but as someone that actually did hiring before I don't think that you can get the feel for the person from a recording. And I too don't act the same in a conversation and when recording something where you often get like one or two shots to get it right. Not to mention I find it so disrespectful. You expect me to give you half an hour (the minimum, with prep and all it's longer) of my time and do all the work for you, even after filling out applications and jumping through hoops but you can't be bothered to take those same 30 min to actually have a meeting? If we are not a match, then end it early, as I am sure you will just rewind the video. But come on, it's getting ridiculous at this point.
