applied for a job about a week ago and got an email from a third party (sparkhire) saying they wanted me to do a “one-way interview” and submit it. the more I read about these things the angrier and more offended I get that they asked me to do this. it's essentially for them to click through their applicants as fast as possible to get to the one they like the most with as little human interaction as possible. I don't think these folks even looked at my resume, which was a perfect fit for the job, and i was so excited too. they've been sending me a reminder to submit it every day and it's annoying. I want to email the “talent acquisition manager” to “respectfully” decline and tell them something along the lines of how I'd much prefer even a zoom interview than a “one way” video that they can just click through. but maybe should just ignore it until the “due date” for the video passes
not to mention, I'm 0% for strangers of a third party having access to a video of me, my voice, and talking about possibly personal and business experiences to be used or sold for who knows what
