So new factory job here in TN and I tempted with them for the full 480 hours, now I’m hired full time with company and I’m 9 days from being out of their probation period. Today I was pulled in the office to sign a verbal warning for the two missed days. These missed days I had to be out incase I needed to testify for a custody’s case and domestic assault. I have an excuse for the last one when they asked, stamped from court and everything
Well HR says that the only court dates that are excused is jury duties and I know that don’t sound right, but I’m not getting any luck with google. So here’s my question in TN is that actually true that I can be written up cause I had not yet had my pto cause I am not out of my probation but needed to be out for court incase I’m needed to testify. I was not subpoenaed but told to come just in case. That just don’t sound right to me that they said it was fine but now like a month latter it’s not fine.
I get to talk with them Thursday about it when they there cause that’s the next day then and our shift will be there. What things should I maybe ask HR about when I talk to them cause I’m waiting to see if they go oh ok your good cause there should be no problem. Or if they going try try and keep that on my record so I don’t get my bonus, cause if you miss nodays and no writes ups tou get a 450 bonus 250 if you miss one. And I’m like nearing that mark to where I could get it.
