To preface, I work in food service. Not fast food, nor a high end or high volume store. We were always allowed to grab something to eat during downtime, or take a break and eat if we worked a 10 hr shift or longer. Now we aren't allowed to do so, no matter what. But the managers can stand around and eat in front of us Asked one about it and she said “well I'm a manager sooo” It's a basic human need??
