Out of touch employer pay cuts manager

So I've been working for one of the major US supermarket chains. It is supposedly planning to pay cut the manager above me, and force them to do the same work for $5+/hr less. The department is understaffed as it is. I am planning to leave around the same time they do, as I don't want to do triple the work for weeks while they hire a new manager. Chaos will ensue, as the company are so greedy that they won't hire anyone to replace employees that leave, so every department is short staffed. The moment we go, expect empty shelves and angry customers, as no one else knows the department who isn't already too busy with their own. The company fully deserves chaos for sure. They are on this other planet where they think they can find people to do manager jobs at the pay rate of the lowest…

The company fully deserves chaos for sure. They are on this other planet where they think they can find people to do manager jobs at the pay rate of the lowest level employees, and cut employee benefits rather than improve them. I don't want to state the company name yet, as I need more details. Might be something the execs are planning company wide. Possible they might change their minds, but they seem to be so up themselves I doubt it.
